25 year old Nigerian becomes first black person to be Appointed on the board of the Management Consultancies Association in the UK

The Executive Committee of the Young Management Consultancies Association (Young MCA) has elected Ife Ade Tokan as their Chair starting on the 5th December 2017.

What does this mean? Ife will be given the privilege to support the great work that the Vice Chairs of the Young MCA do for the network across four regions (London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol). Ife will also have the opportunity to sit on the Management Consultancies Associations Board and Council, where he will be given the responsibility to discuss the future of the Management Consultancy industry with some of the leaders of the industry and he will be representing the young consultant’s voice amongst other things.

The Young MCA is a network of some of the leading Management Consulting firms in the UK including the big 4, IBM, BAE Systems Atkins Global (the firm Ife works for) to name a few. They hope to prepare the future consultants of the industry with the right skills and technical capabilities to take on the ever-changing and demanding needs

Ife plans to focus on growth by re-engaging member firms and supporting the region’s growth. Finally, Ife hopes to use this platform to encourage young kids from a disadvantaged background to aspire to greatness.

Outside the corporate world Ife is a keynote speaker, he has had the opportunity to speak on platforms like Tedx and also to MBA students on sustainable business development. Ife is passionate about youth development and advocacy work in Nigeria and the UK. Ife joined the minister (Solomon Dalung) and other Nigerian youth in Uganda for the Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting where best practice around youth development was discussed. Finally, Ife is a writer, he regularly contributes to career and personal development column of Bella Naija and Huffington Post.
