A Media organization, seeks to engage the following staff for their office in Abuja – Nigeria.
- Editor (7 years’ Experience)
- Special Projects Coordinator
- Public Relations officer
- Staff Writers
We are looking to hire candidates based in Abuja for full-time positions.
The Editor shall be responsible for writing and editing stories for the magazine, taking assignments from the Group managing editor, proofreading and edit stories.
Ideal candidate is expected to have 7 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree or higher in English, journalism or communications related field. Professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
Candidates with experience in journalism and reporting, and skills in magazine-style feature writing and editing, as well as the ability to produce user-engaging daily news stories for online publication, are encouraged to apply.
Special projects Coordinator:
The Special Projects Coordinator shall be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing special projects including, but not limited to, training, orientation, ergonomic review, safety, emergency response and employee and client’s relations.
Ideal candidate should have 3-5 years’ related experience and experience in marketing and brand management. Candidate should minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Public Relations Officer:
The Public relations (PR) Officer is responsible for managing the reputation of the organization, understanding, and support clients, as well as brand management.
The Ideal candidate should have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position, and be able to plan publicity strategies and campaigns, write and produce presentations and press releases, deal with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations, organize and attend promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits etc. on behalf of the organization.
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in ay social sciences or related field. Professional qualification will be an advantage.
Ideal candidates should have experience in journalism and reporting, with skills in magazine-style feature writing, as well as the ability to produce user-engaging daily news stories for online publication.
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mass communication, Linguistics or related field.
