Following the recent killings in Plateau State, the President has instructed the military and police officers to take charge of the state and bring all forms of violence to an instant end.

This he said, expressing his grief and sadness at the report of 20 dead persons as a result of the ongoing brutality in the state.

According to the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, it is the president’s paramount desire to see all Nigerians live in peace and harmony, therefore he frowns at all forms of barbarity that disturbs the peace of Nigerians.

He said that the President also sympathizes with the governor and people of Plateau especially with those who lost their loved ones, friends and family.

“May God comfort them as only He can,’’ said the president.
