Dr. Aryee brings over 40 years’ experience in public and private sector management to the African Leadership Advisory Board. Dr. Aryee has held key cabinet positions in Ghana, from 1982-2001. She was at different times the Minister of Information; Minister of Education; Minister of Local Government and Minister of Democracy in the Office of the Prime Minister. She is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines where she served for ten years as the first woman to head an African Chamber of Mines.

She is a Management & Communications Consultant, and serves on the boards of diverse organizations including Volta River Authority (VRA); College of Education – University of Ghana; Data Bank Ark Fund; among others. She is also the Pro-Chancellor of Central University Ghana. A recipient of the second-highest national honours in Ghana – the Companion of the Order of the Volta, presented in recognition of her contribution to Ghana’s economic growth and development,

Dr. Aryee has also received the award of African Female Business Leader of the year and listed among 100 Global Inspiration Women in Mining in the world.
